This Saturday, the Government of France denounced that the US military operation that led to the capture of the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro, violates the principle of non-use of force, which underpins international law.

France reiterates that no lasting political solution can be imposed from outside and that only sovereign peoples decide their own future,” Jean-Noël Barro, France's minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, explained in his X account.

He also added that “the increasing number of violations of this principle by nations that have the primary responsibility of being permanent members of the United Nations Security Council will have serious consequences for global security, which will spare no one”.
