France: Workers demonstrated against Macron's economic reforms

Last Tuesday, the French people began a new national day of strike to demand better salaries and reject the reforms promoted by the government of President Emmanuel Macron.

Thousands of workers took to the streets of Paris, convened by a coalition of the main unions in the sector.

The demonstration was attended by the majority of education workers, who protested against a government reform that introduces groups of levels, starting in the sixth grade, that would divide students in the same class according to their level of performance.

Widespread demand focused on demanding wage increases, as outraged people say that wage increases do not match rising inflation.
