Francisco Garcés: Deployed teams have achieved almost 6,000 inspections in seven states

The president of the Commission for the Evaluation of Infrastructure Habitability, Francisco Garcés, reported that a single and unified work methodology was established between local institutions, the presidential commission and specialized unions.

He noted that teams have already been deployed across the country, reaching almost 6,000 inspections in seven states, with the objective of determining the infrastructure situation.

At a press conference, he explained that this is a quick initial inspection, aimed at defining if the buildings are habitable and if their use guarantees safety conditions for the population.

He stated that the inspection of structures in the affected areas of the country began with the participation of various national institutions, a task that began after the training of more than two thousand eight hundred specialists, who will use instruments certified by the Bolivarian Government in order to structure a robust database.

Garcés assured that in this first stage, a mapping will also be carried out for the classification of traffic lights that will allow us to determine the planning and approach to carry out the work.

This evaluation will facilitate the identification of specific requirements in terms of machinery, materials and qualified personnel, which will ensure an optimal response to the needs detected in each work.

The Minister of People's Power for Transport, also indicated that road infrastructure, airports and other spaces have been evaluated to determine their operability.

He noted that foreign teams will join the work of inspecting spaces, not only in the case of housing, but also in the national infrastructure.
