Freddy Barnal: There are 55 arrested for acts of violence in Táchira

The governor
of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, confirmed that, to date, 55 individuals
have been arrested for acts of violence carried out after the
election day of July 28.
According to information published on
the website of a well-known national newspaper,
the regional president specified that: “55 detainees, convicted, confessed and with
evidence, I don't have the details, it's not my job, some of them prosecuted by
the law of hate, with concrete evidence, witnesses, photos, and others, to them,
according to the law of hate, at least eight years in prison”.
He also
announced that there are 26 other arrest warrants in force, “we are
looking for them under the rocks,” he emphasized, while explaining that they are
the suspects responsible for several cases that have been reported
by the authorities since days before the presidential elections.
“Those who are
arrested burning rubber, attacking facilities such as the
Coloncito module, which destroyed it, who were discovered in a plan to leave seven states without
electricity, those who confessed that they were going to burn the Junín Hospital
, those who confessed that they were going to burn electoral centers, those who have
been arrested with mortar cannon, also hate crime on the Internet,
anyone who instigates hatred, even homicide, on the Internet, who is in Venezuela, to be arrested, will be
processed,” he stressed.
