This Monday, the Prime Minister of France, Sébastien Lecornu, presented his resignation to President Emmanuel Macron, almost a month after his appointment as head of government.
According to information detailed by Telesur, the resignation of Lecornu, by the French head of state, occurred hours after the now outgoing prime minister had announced the composition of his cabinet.
The resigning head of government said that “you can't be prime minister when you don't have the conditions” to govern.
The former incumbent stated that he had “tried to build a path (...) on issues that had previously been blocked”, such as unemployment insurance and social security, to “reinstate joint management” and “build a road map” to get the country out of the crisis.
After Lecornu announced his cabinet, he explained in a message posted on his account on the social network X that his ministers would have “the difficult mission of providing the country with a budget before December 31 and serving France”.
