A technical commission from the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS) carries out inspections in various locations in the state of Yaracuy to evaluate the geological effects caused by the earthquakes recorded on June 24.

Through his Telegram account, he specified that the work is carried out together with the National Institute of Geology and Mining (INGEOMIN) and includes tours through Albarico and the municipality of Veroes, specifically in the Los Cañizos, El Chino, Farriar, El Guayabo, La Bananera Venezolana and La Hoya sectors.

During fieldwork, the specialists identified evidence of soil liquefaction, lateral relaxation and ruptures in the ground surface. Given these findings, both institutions will maintain permanent monitoring to determine the extent of the geological effects.

The scientific deployment is supported by the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) and Civil Protection, bodies that accompany the evaluation work in the entity.
