The Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS) continues to be deployed carrying out fieldwork in the state of La Guaira, Catia la Mar sector, for geological purposes, together with the School of Geology of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV).

The objective of the conference is to identify and record the surface deformations generated by the earthquake of Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

By means of this information survey, experts seek to understand more precisely the energy released during the event and the deformations that affect different types of soils after an earthquake.

These investigations help to obtain data on seismic effects and soil behavior in the face of a seismic event to implement land planning policies that help reduce the risk of future seismic threats.

We continue to work tirelessly for the geological study of our soils, for the good of our country.
