The health crisis in the Gaza Strip keeps the population in critical condition in the face of the severe shortage of medical supplies and the obstacles imposed by the Zionist regime of Israel to the evacuation of patients, Telesur detailed on its website.

According to reports from the Department of Occupied Territories (PHRI), the Gazan health system operates under extreme conditions in 36 hospitals in the enclave, with only 10 operating partially. In addition to the lack of medicines and basic supplies, there is a blockade of products arbitrarily classified by Israeli Zionism as “dual use”, prohibiting the entry of wheelchairs, prostheses and orthopedic footwear. The situation is alarming in specialized services such as hemodialysis, which has been reduced to 12 percent of capacity.

The aftermath of the aggression and siege perpetrated by the Zionist State of Israel hit the most vulnerable sectors hard. Evaluations of world doctors from around the world reveal that 83.4 percent of children under five years of age treated suffered an illness in the last trimester, while 93.4 percent of pregnant or nursing women have severe symptoms of anemia due to poor nutritional conditions.

The paralysis of exit permits by the authorities of the Zionist Government of Israel aggravates the humanitarian tragedy. Although 5,700 patients were discharged between October 2025 and September 2026, data from the Gazan Ministry of Health confirm that at least 1,570 people, including numerous cancer patients, died trapped in the enclave waiting for authorization to receive medical treatment abroad.
