This Tuesday, August 13, the head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, led the tribute paid in Caracas to the revolutionary leader Darío Vivas, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of his planting.

During the activity, Fernández highlighted the struggle of this revolutionary, together with other comrades, against right-wing actors during the Fourth Republic and who today are the same people trying to revive hatred in the population.

“They hate ordinary Venezuelan people, the poor; if there is one condition that unifies us all today, it is that we are from the countryside, from the neighborhood, we are part of the poor of this country, and we have been fighting a historic battle to have our existence respected,” he said and mentioned the war against Venezuela in the media and social networks, in addition to the acts of violence promoted by the extreme right in the country.

“Right now we are living on the manipulation of political, social and social media events. The President (Nicolás Maduro) has been given a tough war through networks and media. But they didn't say that we revolutionaries are the Venezuelan positive,” he said and condemned the violent and fascist acts that sectors of the extreme right wanted to establish after ignoring the electoral results in Venezuela.

For his part, the director of revolutionary formation of the Darío Vivas Foundation, Simón Ruiz, stressed that Vivas gave his life to a revolutionary process and to popular organization. At the same time, he urged Venezuelan youth to study and follow the example of the revolutionary who was Vivas.
