GDC was deployed in Santa Elena to deal with road subsidence

The Hollow Hunt Squad, a program of the Capital District Government (GDC), was deployed in Santa Elena, San José parish, to address the undermining that occurred in the area.
According to information published on GDC's Instagram account, a “cabling is being carried out at the site that will channel the ravine from La Vaquera, using high-strength materials to prevent possible catastrophes in the coming downpours”.
In addition, the promptness with which the emergency is addressed and the quality of work that is being carried out for the benefit of 4,000 people were highlighted.
“After a serious undermining, we are carrying out the emptying of reinforced concrete and shoes to stabilize the terrain and ensure the safety of our community,” said Nahúm Fernández, head of Caracas, while assuring that “in 15 days we will complete these critical tasks and we will move on to a second phase of comprehensive recovery.”
