During a symposium on the occasion of his 70th birthday, the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, harshly criticized the foreign policy of the United States (USA) under the presidency of Donald Trump and warned against inaction in the face of the growing collapse of the world order.
“Today it's about preventing the world from turning into a den of thieves where the most unscrupulous appropriate everything, where entire regions and countries are treated as the property of a few great powers,” he warned about their analysis of the recent U.S. military aggression against Venezuela, which included attacks on civilians, the theft of oil and the kidnapping of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the first lady, Cilia Flores, Review note from Venezolana de Televisión.
He also pointed out that the United States, with its actions, “the lack of respect for international law and the erosion of the world order are already well advanced”; at the same time, he indicated that it is a “violation of values” on the part of Washington, Berlin's most important partner and that, contradictorily, “helped to build” the world order that wants to disappear.
“Where there is an attempt to relegate even medium-sized States, including us, to the margins of history, and where small and weakest States are completely unprotected,” he denounced deeply concerned.
His comments also came after the analysis of the White House tenant's plans to establish control over Greenland, which has been part of Denmark for more than 600 years.
