This Monday, in Germany, there were strikes at 13 of the main airports by the Verdi union, causing the cancellation of at least 3,400 flights and affecting more than 500,000 people.
The affected airports are in the cities of Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Hanover, Bremen, Hamburg, Berlin-Brandenburg and Leipzig-Halle.
The warning strikes were called by the Verdi union, whose spokesperson stated that employees of the public service of airport operators, ground handling services and air safety have been on strike since midnight.
The action responds to a measure of pressure on employers in the midst of wage conflicts.
In the negotiations, for public sector employees, the union demands an 8% wage increase, which would imply an increase of 350 euros more per month, as well as asking for three additional days off.
