The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, criticized this Thursday the confession of U.S. Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar regarding her active participation in plans to promote a “policy of regime change” by Washington against the South American nation.

“In her recent press article, the defeated and self-conscious María Elvira Salazar openly confesses that she promotes a policy of 'regime change' against Venezuela, an illegal and illegitimate practice that violates the Charter of the United Nations,” Gil said through her Telegram channel.

He stressed that Salazar, with his anti-Bolivarian and anti-Latin American discourse, “reveals his status as a subservient agent to imperial power, justifying military deployments and extrajudicial executions in the Caribbean that constitute crimes for which they will have to be held to account. She too.”

Finally, in his message, the diplomat praised the 26 years of resistance of the Bolivarian Revolution, showing that “they couldn't handle guarimbas, sabotage, sanctions, or illegitimate strikes. Much less can they do from Miami, with its warmongering rhetoric and its colonial complex,” he emphasized.
