El Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, held a telephone meeting with his counterpart from Uruguay, Mario Lubetkin, regarding the armed attacks against Venezuela by the United States (USA).
A through his Telegram channel, Gil specified that “we have emphasized the urgent need for the entire region to repudiate this serious violation of our sovereignty”.
Asimismo, in another publication, the diplomat thanked Uruguay's “statement, which reaffirms the character of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace and free of nuclear weapons. We especially value the defense of international law and respect for the sovereignty of the countries of the region in the face of imperialist aggression against Venezuela.”
