This Monday, August 12, the governor of the state of Sucre, Gilberto Pinto, reported during his program “Loyalty is love for Sucre” that electricity service was fully restored in Güiria, Valdez municipality, after it was affected by the heavy rains that occurred on the Parian axis, last Saturday, August 10.

“Our People had a responsible Government. All citizen security forces were deployed to preserve the life of every inhabitant,” he said

He stressed that the brigades of the Caribbean Hydrology (HydroCaribbean) are working to restore the water service in the town in the next few hours, after the collection of the drinking water plant, which guarantees the supply of drinking water to the population, was obstructed by sediments and debris carried through the channels.

He stated that three super tanks were activated to ensure the supply of vital liquid to the affected areas.

“We had damage to the catchment and to about 70 meters of 4-inch pipe. Our human teams are working to promptly restore drinking water service to our people,” he said.
