The Great Venezuela Housing
Mission (GMVV) delivered the first batch of
completely new housing, corresponding to the initial phase of Francisco de Miranda's urban planning in Guatire.
According to
information published on the web portal of the newspaper Última Noticias (UN), this
phase involves the self-construction of 16 houses and in the following stages 100 housing
units.
In this regard, the governor of Miranda, Elio Serrano,
pointed out that the completed houses are the “result of the organization and
support of institutions, through the coordination of efforts,
making it possible to transform the lives of each of the beneficiary families.”
While the Minister of Popular Power for Housing and
Habitat, Raúl Paredes, highlighted the model implemented in urban planning, it is “extraordinary”
because it involves popular power in the construction of their “own homes”.
