Gobernador Caldera: Installation of 9,000 tons of asphalt will connect Maracaibo and San Francisco

The governor of the state of Zulia, Luis Gerardo Caldera, oversaw the deployment of road recovery works being carried out on 148th Avenue, a strategic road that connects the municipalities of Maracaibo and San Francisco, with the application of 9,000 metric tons of hot type III asphalt.

Through his Instagram account, he noted the efforts focused on optimizing traffic conditions in the west of the country.

“We continued working through Zulia and arrived at Av. 148, between the municipalities of Maracaibo and San Francisco, where the State Asphalt Plan is being implemented with the installation of 9,000 metric tons of hot type III asphalt, rehabilitating 4 linear km of road,” he said.

The comprehensive intervention includes the adaptation of four linear kilometers of road and the conditioning of accesses to MERCASUR, starting from the La Chinita Distributor, a nerve section for mobility, public transport and the flow of commercial cargo in the Zulian entity.

The governor emphasized the coordination between national, regional and local governments to carry out road recovery and stated that the project is possible thanks to the joint work with the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services, the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation and municipal governments.

With the implementation of the State Asphalt Plan, the Regional Executive is making progress in consolidating the entity's road infrastructure, guaranteeing safe traffic arteries that energize the productive system and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the state of Zulia.
