The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, reported that the coastal entity has 95% occupancy and a 100% influx of visitors on its beaches.

“This is the fourth day of Operation Carnival for Peace 2026 and we are successfully at practically total hotel occupancy,” he said.

He explained that in La Guaira there are 66 suitable beaches and in 11 of these resorts the REIR platform is being deployed . He said that this plan is part of State policies that promote social happiness through recreational activities and that promote the development of the local economy through tourism.

“Visitors and residents of the state who visit our beaches have found a wide range of recreational, sports and cultural activities in all spaces. This has helped us not to account for any negative events in the territory during the carnestolendo vacation days,” he said.

Terán explained that in the state there have been games, sports, dance therapy, traditional games and a busy concert on the Paseo de La Marina with the participation of important and renowned national and foreign artists where thousands of people could enjoy it with their families.

He also noted that these actions affect the economy of the state's inhabitants. He explained that around 70,000 Guaireños dedicate their activities to tourist care and beaches, so the presence of around one million tourists contributes to the economic movement of the entity.
