The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela announced the activation of a telephone number for the purpose of responding to complaints related to human rights violations suffered by Venezuelan migrants in the United States, the Venezolana de Televisión website reported.
In this regard, family members may contact 0416-6119472 to report abuses and arbitrary deportations, with the objective of offering immediate assistance to those who require it.
Thus, through the Great Mission Back to the Homeland, designed to protect Venezuelan migrants regardless of their location, additional channels have been implemented to facilitate reporting.
For this reason, Venezolana de Televisión's digital platforms are also available on Telegram, Facebook and Instagram (@VTVCanal8), where families can report situations of abuse or retention of their loved ones in the United States or El Salvador.
Also, during this week, social movements will hold days to collect signatures in Plazas Bolívar across the country, actions that aim to democratically support the return of migrants who face unfair conditions abroad, as part of a collective effort to guarantee respect for the fundamental rights of Venezuelans.
With this initiative, the Venezuelan authorities reinforce their message of solidarity and unconditional support for migrants and families, in addition to reaffirming their commitment to work tirelessly to ensure the return of Venezuelans to the Homeland.
For his part, in a note from the Última Noticias portal, he points out that the website enabled by the Bolivarian Government is now fully operational so that all Venezuelans who have a family member unjustly detained in the United States or kidnapped in El Salvador can make their respective complaints, as announced by Jorge Rodríguez, the nominee for the Peace Dialogues for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
He explains that when accessing the aforementioned page, they can display a digital window identified as “Denounce unjust deportations now. Do it before it's too late.”
Please note that when you click on this option, a format opens, where the following data is required: “Who reports? , first and last name of the complainant, Name of the victim (s), contact email and describe the incident. Once you have entered the information, you must click on the option to send such a report”.
The aforementioned website also highlights that the Committee for the Defense of Venezuelan Migrants is “a collective committed to the defense and promotion of human rights focused on denouncing and making visible the particular situation of vulnerability presented by Venezuelan citizens in the United States, whose presidential policy has been dedicated to stigmatizing migration”.
