To date, the Bolivarian Government has collected more than 6,700 tons of solid waste and debris, and they have been safely disposed of in the state of La Guaira during an ecosocialist deployment, which has the task of dealing with environmental contingencies caused by recent seismic events.
During a technical meeting with the parish authorities of La Guaira, the State Government, the Mayor's Office of the Vargas Municipality and the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MPPE), it was detailed that the collection flow began to gradually normalize.
Regarding the day, the Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Nelson Rodríguez, explained that they currently maintain a rate of more than 400 tons of waste per day.
“This increase is due to intensive rescue efforts and debris removal in the sectors that suffered the greatest structural impacts, requiring an unprecedented logistical response,” he said.
He specified that a contingent of 697 public servants and environmentalists is on the ground permanently to carry out maneuvers that transcend conventional urban collection.
During this contingency phase, strictly differentiated management is applied to those wastes that, by their nature, require the implementation of international safety protocols.
This ensures that the sanitation process is carried out without jeopardizing public health or local ecosystems.
