The Bolivarian Government of Anzoátegui carried out work to restore traffic after the collapse of a 36” sewer in Troncal 9 at the height of the La Mascota Citizen Service Point (PAC) between the Píritu municipalities and Peñalver.
According to information issued by the Government, the collapse of the sewer occurred as a result of heavy rains in recent hours, which also caused the collapse of the asphalt layer and restricted vehicle traffic to a single channel.
The president of the Edo Road and Infrastructure Corporation. Anzoátegui, Katiuska Homsi, reported that jointly between the regional executive and the Ministry of People's Power for Transport, the intervention was carried out using heavy machinery.
Homsi noted
that the process of conditioning the temporary road to one
side as well as the transfer of granular material has already been carried out and indicated that the work is estimated to be completed in
72 hours.
