With the objective of improving road mobility and boosting economic and tourist development in the region, the governor of the state of Anzoátegui, Luis Marcano, delivered the asphalting work carried out on the El Cumbre - Pertigalete section of Troncal 9, Guanta municipality.

The work, framed in the Anzoátegui Nuestro Plan, involved the intervention on 7 of 13 discontinuous kilometers of national highway through the installation of almost 5 thousand tons of asphalt.

Marcano reported that the project was implemented in coordination between the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation (MPPT) and the Road and Infrastructure Corporation of the state of Anzoátegui (COVINEA).

“This intervention is very important for economic diversification and the consolidation of tourism in that border area with the state of Sucre that shares the Mochima National Park,” he said.

Accompanied by the Secretary General of Government and President of COVINEA, Katiuska Homsi and the mayor of the Guanta municipality, Yinder Saldivia, the governor thanked the National Executive led by the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, for the implementation of these infrastructure works in the entity.
