Faced with the imminent arrival of the rainy season in the country, the Government of the state of Aragua began dredging the Los Patos ravine in Las Tejerías.
According to information provided by the local press, municipal engineering crews and the General Services Department were deployed, who, with the support of heavy jumbo-type machinery, began cleaning 2.5 kilometers of the tributary. It will also implement the plan for cleaning and clearing rivers, dams and streams, in order to avoid affecting particularly vulnerable areas.
The Los Patos stream is a micro-basin, so, being small, it reduces its tributary during the summer season, so the season is favorable to carry out dredging work. In this regard, it should be remembered that this ravine was one of those that overflowed as a result of the intense rains that occurred in the town on October 8, 2022, when the Las Tejerías landslide occurred.
