Government of Aragua benefits Ocumare de la Costa with Textile Cultural Production Plan

The government of the state of Aragua delivered the first equipment of sewing machines, fabrics and implements for making costumes for the various dance and cultural movements of its municipalities with the launch of the Textile Plan for Cultural Production.

This is a strategic initiative organized by the Secretariat of Culture of the entity within the framework of the Aragüeñity Plan. Governor Joana Sánchez explained that this plan is aimed at elevating local culture through a sustainable economic circuit, with a comprehensive vision that intertwines tradition with self-management. In turn, the regional president reaffirmed her commitment to turning heritage identity into a tangible and inclusive engine of development for the entire Aragüeño people.

For his part, the Secretary of Culture, Nicolás González, explained that in its first phase, about 15 dance groups will be attended to with the objective of strengthening the cultural development of geography in the state. Additionally, Luis Lovera, director of culture at Ocumare de la Costa, thanked the state authorities for their support for strengthening traditions.

Among the actions announced by the highest regional authority, funding for cultural entrepreneurs stands out, as well as the creation of artisanal textile workshops for the manufacture of historic clothing under a circular economy and tourism model.
