Government of Aragua presents thematic, cultural and heritage tourist routes in Maracay

With the objective of strengthening the identity and cultural heritage value of Maracay, the Municipal Council of the capital of Aragua presented a schedule of activities and thematic tourist routes created for the recreation and heritage of the city.

‎Ángel Márquez, president of the Maracay and Choroni Municipal Council, announced the evolution of the traditional Route of the Seven Temples to the new Pilgrim's Route.
This initiative, which will formally begin on July 12, will go beyond Holy Week to offer a permanent tour of the city's cathedrals, chapels and monasteries, highlighting its architectural values, such as the Neo-Gothic style, its history and devotions.

‎Asimismo, in the month of June, the Drum Route will be inaugurated, with the first start on June 6. This route emerges from the proposal of communities, cultural movements and historical research turned into a great experience. In addition, the next exit of the Ruta de los Patios Salseros was confirmed with the objective of claiming community work and the essence of the neighborhood without protocols. ‎
