Government of Aragua reopens La Pulga and Louse Comprehensive Protection Unit

The La Pulga and the Louse Comprehensive Protection Unit (UPI), located in the Santa Rosa de Cúa residential area, Rafael Urdaneta municipality of Miranda state, reopened its doors after comprehensive rehabilitation.
The work is part of the actions that take place in the framework of its fourteenth anniversary, the government of Miranda state detailed in a press release.
The resumption of activities was attended by Mayor Jonatan Herrera, the Minister for Indigenous Peoples, Clara Vidal, the president of the National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (IDENNA), Soraida Ramírez, and legislators from the Legislative Council of the Bolivarian State of Miranda (CLEBM).
The protection center has infrastructure capacity to house 20 minors. Currently, the institution provides care for children belonging to the indigenous Eñepa ethnic group from the Bolivar state.
