Government of Bolívar announces rehabilitation of the General Tomás de Heres National Airport in Ciudad Bolívar

The governor of the state of Bolívar, Yulisbeth García announced that in the coming days a project will begin for the rehabilitation, demarcation and comprehensive cleaning of the internal and external spaces of the General Tomás de Heres National Airport in Ciudad Bolívar.

This was announced in a press release detailing that this project is part of an effort to reopen operations in the second largest air terminal in the state this year. García explained that the work will be carried out jointly between the government of Bolívar, the mayor's office of Angostura del Orinoco and the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecological Mining Development.

 

This terminal is located in the heart of the city, occupying more than 50 hectares in a quadrangle located in the Vista Hermosa parish, delimited by 17 de Diciembre, Germania, Ciudad Bolívar and Paseo Libertador avenues. He explained that in the first phase, the entire infrastructure of the airport will be recovered, including its terminal, ticket sales area and shopping area, restaurant and parking lots, in addition to the cleaning of the green areas surrounding the runway, parking lots and service areas used by small airlines and aeronautical workshops.
