The Governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, announced that a total of 7,000 LED luminaires will be placed in the avenues and communities of the entity, through the Community Lighting Plan.

“The 200 and 100 watt luminaires were purchased thanks to joint efforts with Corpoelec, the Vice President of Public Works and Services, Jorge Márquez, and the President in Charge, Delcy Rodríguez. This city will be illuminated and will have the active participation of organized communes,” said the Governor.

He also indicated that the removed luminaires will not be discarded but will be repaired. “We are in times where we learned to repair our luminaires,” he emphasized.

The Governor highlighted the popular organization of the plan: “the communes are already carrying out a census of damaged luminaires in each territory, from neighborhoods to urban areas. The organized Community Power itself is also organized for public lighting, in the neighborhood, up the hill,” he explained.
