Government of La Guaira received a donation of 20 heavy machinery from the US Government

The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, reported that this Tuesday, August 18, he received a donation of 20 heavy machinery sent by the United States Government, through his chargé d'affaires in the country, John Barrett.

In his account on the social network Instagram, he specified that the provision aims to reinforce sanitation and infrastructure work in the affected areas following the seismic double recorded 55 days ago in the coastal entity.

Terán explained that these teams are added to the fleet of more than 700 machines deployed in the territory to speed up the extraction of more than 533,000 tons of debris.

He stressed that the international contribution will make it possible to progressively move to the phase of reconstruction and social care of the impacted communities.

“This international aid, together with the enormous effort made by the President in Charge, Delcy Rodríguez, is key to accelerating the cleaning and beginning the phase of reconstruction and social development of our state. In union and with solidarity, La Guaira is reborn!” , he emphasized.

The joint work plan contemplates the strategic distribution of heavy units at the points of greatest impact to accelerate the full restoration of public roads and urban spaces.
