A total of six ambulances were added to health centers in the state of Mérida in the municipalities of Tulio Febres Cordero, Andrés Bello, Pueblo Llano, Tovar and Libertador. The information was provided by Governor Jehyson Guzmán, who added that over the course of eight months, 1110 transfers have been made throughout the state.
He explained that ambulances will provide the service under the Single Emergency System, which brings together security and prevention bodies together with the Fire Department, Civil Protection and the Ven 911 system. He clarified that citizens can call VEN 911 and report the emergency to send the closest ambulance to the requested destination and respond free of charge and effectively.
He said - through a press release - that the mobile units will have a GPS system that will be able to monitor routes and kilometers traveled to record the mobility of these vehicles.
