Government of Mérida rehabilitates tourist sites in the entity

With the objective of strengthening tourism in the area, the government of the state of Mérida is carrying out a series of works, restoration of heritage and ornamentation in iconic spaces of the entity.

 

“It's part of the work to strengthen our state's tourism apparatus,” said Governor Jehyson Guzmán, quoted by the regional press. He specified that the dome and access road to the capital of Merida, a sector known as La Vuelta de Lola, stands out among the areas under rehabilitation.

The work is carried out by CORMETUR, an institution that has prioritized the rehabilitation of the Chorros de Milla Zoo, with the progressive reconstruction of all the roads, which are more than 40 years old. To date, wildlife and the expansion of captivity spaces have been taken care of; the installation of cameras and improvements to the perimeter fencing, among other works.

 

The Aquarium Garden Park and Hacienda La Victoria Park are also the subject of attention, as well as the Minor Basilica “Immaculate Conception”.
