Government of Monagas develops fumigation day in educational centers throughout the state

A total of 19 learning centers have been fumigated in internal and external areas through a special day organized by the government of Monagas.

These are actions to prevent vector transmission caused by mosquitoes within the framework of a regional plan that covers the total care of 4,512 students, teachers and environmentalists in the territory.

According to a regional press release, at least 11,200 people from different communities and educational institutions in the state have benefited from these days held last September and will last until the end of the year.

Antonietta García, general director of environmental health in Monagas state, explained that awareness and information days were also held to raise awareness and inform the population about the need to eradicate breeding sites to prevent the presence of the different vectors that transmit diseases.
