In order to guarantee clean and safe spaces for residents and visitors, the Neo-Spartan Public Institute for Ecosocialism (INEC) is moving forward with the sanitation plan for the coastal axis of the region, whose operations include deep cleaning, elimination of sources of pollution and beautification of the entity's main resorts.

The initiative is part of a sustainable development approach, which seeks to position beaches as the region's main tourist engine and source of life, the Government of Nueva Esparta reported on its website.

The president of INEC, Francisco González, said that “key points have been intervened in six municipalities, with special emphasis on those areas with the greatest tourist influx and ecological value”.

In this regard, he indicated that in the Gómez municipality, the work included the sanitation of beaches such as Puerto Cruz, Zaragoza, Puerto Viejo, Bahía de Plata and the Caribbean, where priority was given to cleaning sand and preserving coastal ecosystems.

While in Antolín del Campo, the conference focused on the Manzanillo, El Agua and Parguito spas, renowned for being highly visited during peak seasons.

Juan Griego Bay, in the Marcano municipality, was also the subject of intervention, with actions aimed at restoring order and cleanliness to its emblematic shore. In the Díaz municipality, specifically in Playa Puerto Fino (La Guardia), weeding and solid waste collection tasks were carried out.

Other strategic points served include Pampatar Bay and La Magnesita, in the Maneiro municipality, areas of great commercial and recreational dynamism.

In addition, in the Mariño municipality, the INEC brigades left Concorde and Bella Vista beaches, two of the areas most visited by the inhabitants of Porlamar, in optimal condition.

This deployment is part of a regional policy that seeks to balance tourism activity with environmental protection.
