In an official statement, this Friday the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace asked the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to withdraw the Venezuelan nationality of the extremist opposition Yon Goicochea, following his calls for foreign military intervention against the country.

The decision, the text states, is taken in compliance with the “Constitution and the laws of the Republic, as well as the duty of every Venezuelan to honor the Homeland, protect sovereignty and protect territorial integrity, enshrined in Article 130 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Organic Law of Liberator Simón Bolívar”.

Below is the full statement:

The Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, in accordance with the decision of the Revolutionary Government, led by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, and in compliance with the Constitution and the laws of the Republic, as well as the duty of every Venezuelan to honor the Fatherland, protect sovereignty and protect territorial integrity, enshrined in article 130 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Liberator Simón Bolívar Organic Law, request that the Supreme Court of Justice withdraw the Venezuelan nationality from citizen Yon Goicochea.

This action is formulated because of the public call made by the said individual to request and cooperate with foreign forces for the military invasion and occupation of Venezuela, to persecute and exterminate officials of the various security forces and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, as well as the mass murder of Venezuelans who are part of the movements and organizations of the People's Power.

The competent authorities - Foreign Ministry and SAIME - will proceed to take appropriate administrative measures to eliminate any document that identifies you as a Venezuelan citizen.

The Venezuelan State, inspired by the thought of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, ratifies its commitment to the defense of national sovereignty, the peace of the Venezuelan people and the dignity of the Fatherland, in the face of any form of surrender, betrayal or complicity with foreign powers.

Caracas, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

October 31, 2025.

Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace and Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón
