Government of Venezuela reaffirms cooperation with Saint Lucia

The Bolivarian Government has reaffirmed its will to consolidate ties of friendship and cooperation with Saint Lucia, in line with the principles of integration and solidarity that guide the construction of the Greater Caribbean as a zone of peace.

In an official statement, he congratulated the Executive of that country for holding the general elections on December 1, the day on which democratic commitment and citizen participation were confirmed.

The text recognizes the Labor Party of Saint Lucia (SLP) and its leader, Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, for the second consecutive victory won with the support of the electorate, and expresses its best wishes for the start of this new term.

Previously, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the people of Saint Lucia for the electoral process. “I respectfully congratulate this democratic victory, which honors the popular will and strengthens hope for a sovereign and united Caribbean,” said the head of state.
