Government of Yaracuy distributes medicines for people with special needs in its 14 municipalities

The Government of Yaracauy State, through the Somos Especiales healthcare program, delivered 1,210 medications to 132 people in Chivacoa, Bruzual municipality, to cover their corresponding treatments for two months.

The director of the program, which aims at comprehensive care for children, young people and adults with special conditions, Gregoriana Morón, reported that the delivery of medicines is part of the care plan that is being developed in the 14 municipalities of the entity. Its monthly distribution amounts to more than 8,000 medicines of all kinds, to meet the needs of 1,145 beneficiaries in the 14 municipalities.

In a press release, the official stated that “this beautiful inclusion plan created to support the Law for Persons with Disabilities, created by Commander Hugo Chávez, and reinforced by President Nicolás Maduro, has as its primary objective to improve the living conditions of our children, young people and adults with diverse abilities, and to guarantee their improvement and integration into their corresponding environments”.
