Government of Zulia signs agreement with the entity's highest school of studies for its rehabilitation

This Tuesday, April 08, the government of the state of Zulia signed an agreement for the comprehensive recovery of spaces and security at the University of Zulia (LUZ).

The inter-institutional alliance was called Plan LUZ and contemplates the financing and execution of infrastructure works, services and the deployment of a protection device for the university community, details a press release.

The governor, reported that the works will be developed in several faculties and areas of the university campus. The works include the restoration of the electrical system in the Faculties of Legal and Political Sciences, Economic and Social Sciences, Science, and Engineering, specifically in the schools of Petroleum and Chemistry.

The plan also includes the waterproofing of the Social Welfare Institute for Teaching and Research Staff (IPPLUZ) and the former rectory headquarters, a space dedicated to the Faculty of Humanities and Education, in the area of learning difficulties and functional diversity.

The Department of Development and Student Services (DIDSE) was also established with the regional scholarship program of the Jesús Enrique Lossada Foundation (FUNDALOSSADA).
