Governor Neil Villamizar: In Guayana Esequiba we are going to carry out a popular government

This Thursday, June 5th, the elected governor of Guyana Esequiba, Neil Villamizar, was sworn in as the first regional president of this Venezuelan territory for the period 2025-2029, and he pledged to promote a popular government together with the people.

“Today we are taking office and taking the oath of office of State number 24 of our beautiful country (...) the intention is to carry out an Essequibo 7T government program and this will be an imminently popular government, we will promote communal government, because good is born of the people,” he said.

He also reaffirmed his commitment “to carry out all actions and create the conditions to promote the solution to the controversy and bring the necessary attention to our town of Essequibo”.

He specified that actions have already been implemented to improve roads, as well as they are also working on a plan for the issue of electricity. In turn, he indicated that identification days will be held for the identification of the population; as well as health care and education.

“We will govern together with miners, producers, housewives, motorized workers, entrepreneurs and the indigenous people who represent 90% of the inhabitants of Esequiba Guiana,” he said and stressed that “together we will consolidate the Bolivarian Revolution.”

In addition, he assured that it will carry “the basis for drafting the Constitution of the State, in addition to proposals to be able to have our anthem, flag and give our own identity to our Guiana Essequiba”.
