As part of the Popular Festivities in honor of the Nazarene of Achaguas, the governor of the state of Apure, Wilmer Rodríguez, kicked off the Fifth Agroindustrial Expoferia ProAchaguas 2026.
“The opening day stood out for the exhibition of first-rate cattle and buffaloes, stressing that livestock remains the backbone of the regional economy,” the Government reported.
“We are demonstrating the potential of our state. Apure has great potential in agriculture, but its main company is livestock. This is the real Apure that produces, the one that grows every day in the livestock and agricultural sector,” said the regional president.
For his part, the mayor of the Achaguas municipality, José Gregorio Rebolledo, stressed that the fair is a showcase of the joint effort between the public and private sectors. Rebolledo invited visitors to continue enjoying the festivities that pay tribute to both the Nazarene and the Joropo, inseparable elements of the Achaguense identity.
