The governor of the Bolivarian state of Miranda, Elio Serrano , carried out a field survey in the Buena Vista sector, located in the municipality of Zamora , with the objective of evaluating the total and partial collapse of the staircase systems in five buildings in the community.

According to information issued by the Government, the regional president , who was accompanied by the institution's team of engineers, Civil Protection and spokespersons for the People's Power, noted the mechanical damage to the bases of air access.

In this regard, he explained that the definitive collapse of these access roads is associated with a pattern of fatigue derived from the original construction design of the buildings, which are over 35 years old.

To resolve the contingency in an agile and safe manner, a comprehensive plan was agreed, structured in two modalities of financing and technical execution, including controlled demolition, so specialized crews will immediately begin the safe removal of collapsed and unstable structures by demolition with light machinery to free common areas of debris.

“Our technical goal is for neighbors to have full, dignified and totally risk-free access to their apartments within 5 to 6 weeks,” Serrano emphasized .
