The Governor of Miranda, Elio Serrano, announced the implementation of the Popular Consultation method within the National Experimental Polytechnic University (UNEXPO) Antonio José de Sucre, Guarenas headquarters.

Serrano explained that the winning project will be financed by the mayor's office of the Plaza municipality, led by Antonio Galíndez, while the second will be covered by the Government.

He also pointed out that this method is the most efficient way to provide real solutions to the problems of the university community. “Through direct participation, we are going to transform these spaces.”

For his part, Galíndez reported on the creation of the Municipal Council for University Affairs, a body that seeks to unify efforts to build the country 's “new times”, taking education as a transformative axis.

“If we want to transform this city, we must take the university sector as a fundamental element that provides us with technical and scientific knowledge,” he said.

The visit of the regional president was propitious for the reopening of the health areas of UNEXPO, which “will allow the student community and teaching staff to have optimal conditions for the development of their academic activities, dignifying an institution with a long history of training high-quality engineers in the area,” the Government reported.
