Governor of Miranda oversaw hospitals, collection centers and camps in the Sucre municipality

The governor of the Bolivarian state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, took a tour of several collection centers, hospitals and temporary camps located in the Sucre municipality, to verify their operation.

According to information issued by the Government, the main objective of the deployment was to verify first-hand the operating and infrastructure conditions of the facilities provided by the National Executive to provide comprehensive assistance to families affected by the earthquakes recorded on June 24.

During the day, the regional president visited the Ana Francisca Pérez de León Type II Hospital, located in the Petare parish, where nearly 135 patients who were victims of the earthquake in La Guaira and the Sucre municipality have been treated.
In this regard, director of the hospital, Carlos García, explained that the Pérez de Leon hospital has 234 nurses and more than 380 doctors, including residents and specialists. In addition to supplies and medications to deal with any contingency.

Among the key points of the tour, the supervision of the La Urbina Coliseum Transitional Camp stood out, a conditioned space with a maximum capacity to accommodate 200 people. These temporary facilities serve as an essential primary care center for the stabilization and support of family groups that had to be evacuated from their homes of origin in a preventive manner.
