Governor Serrano: Controlled demolition of the Ángela building in Guatire culminated in no incident

Without any regrettable incident, the controlled demolition of the Ángela building in Guatire, in Miranda state, ended after the structure was severely affected by the earthquakes of last June 24.

The governor of the entity, Elio Serrano, emphasized that the engineers in charge of this operation carried out an extremely technical and scientific work.

“A demolition was carried out with all the required engineering parameters, two thousand 150 cubic meters of debris that could be moved from here to this site, to the final disposal sites,” he said.

He also assured that the shops surrounding the recently demolished structure began to operate normally in the town of Miranda.

“We have eliminated the risk posed by this space; we are going to continue working so that the damages that may have occurred in the surrounding areas are corrected,” he added.
