Governor Terán: Combative people of La Guaira are ready to defend the Homeland

This Wednesday, October 08, the governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, highlighted the combative spirit of the People of La Guaira, who have joined in a perfect popular-military-police fusion on different fronts to prepare for the comprehensive defense of the nation against the threats of imperialism.

“In a military-popular and police fusion, we are here ready and willing to defend the Homeland (...) with deep love, to guarantee peace, but as you (Diosdado Cabello) and our leader Nicolás Maduro told us , not in defense, but in permanent offensive, in active resistance,” he said during the deployment of the Independence Plan 200 in the entity.

He also highlighted how in a matter of minutes it was possible to activate all fronts to begin the deployment of the Integral Defense Management Body (ODDI) in the coastal entity. “In a matter of minutes, it was impressive to see the steel horses, the motorized horses, the messengers of peace activating the various ODDI Committees to fulfill a constitutional mandate,” he said.

He stressed that “the exercise of the integral defense of the nation is the co-responsibility of the entire Venezuelan people, the security of the nation, which is based on its integral development.” At the same time, he referred to the fact that this is part of the military doctrine created by Commander Hugo Chávez and that President Nicolás Maduro has continued.

In this regard, he stressed that the militia people of the state of La Guaira have been enlisting and training in the exercises that have been carried out this week in the country. In addition, he indicated that the ODDI Committees are active throughout the entity.

“We have active the food committee that has done a lot of mapping in the state, both of the logistics supply capacity of the public sector and the private sector, which has also been placed under the command of the ODDI; the entire transportation logistics committee, the machinery in the state, all the full deployment of the internal order committee that is guaranteed in this region,” he said.

He also stressed that the bodies of fighters are active to “defend their institutions, they are part of the ODDI, but in a while, after the deployment, the exercise, they return to their jobs to continue producing; here we have hospital directors in training, we have doctors, nurses, firefighters, we have everyone who knows that when El Clarín de la Patria calls, even the mother's song is silent,” he added.
