Governor Terán delivered construction materials to families in Mare Abajo affected by the earthquakes

This Thursday, August 20, the governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, delivered construction materials to a total of 146 families in the Mare Abajo sector of the state, affected by the recent two earthquakes.

“In La Guaira we are a noble people, of good men and women, of families like those of Mare Abajo and César Nieves, where we all know each other and share the same joys and sorrows,” he said on his Instagram account.

He added that “that is why today, together with M/G Nayade Lockiby, commander of the Bolivarian Militia, we bring a word of encouragement and hope to these families for the reconstruction of their homes, which were affected 57 days ago by the double earthquake.”

Terán said that “we also have a firm decision to go forward for our sons and daughters and our grandchildren and granddaughters. Through our Guaira, we transform sadness into work, energy and hope, because together we will achieve the rebirth of this beloved land”.

For his part, the general commander of the Bolivarian Militia, M/G Nayade Lockiby, said that “today we have served 146 families that are from the Mare Abajo sector and César Nieves, however, we already have 436 families that have benefited from construction materials.”

He specified that the materials include clapboard, blocks, cement, paint, zinc sheets, sanitary parts, sand and crushed stone.

He stressed that these staffing tasks are accompanied by Militia officials and construction crews and respond to the instructions of the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez and the Minister of People's Power for Defense, G/J Gustavo González López.
