Guerreros de Lara, District Chiefs and Senators from Caracas lead Major League Baseball

After the first two rounds of the Major League of Professional Baseball (LMBP), Guerreros de Lara, District Chiefs and Senators from Caracas lead the standings undefeated.

On Sunday, played at the UCV University Stadium, Caciques de Distrito beat Centauros de La Guaira 9-4.

Gersel Pitre hit 4-2 with two RBIs, as did Gabriel Martinez, who added a double, home run and two RBIs.

In eleven innings played at the Jorge Luis García Carneiro stadium, Senadores de Caracas won 8-7 against Delfines de La Guaira. Pedro Martínez went 6-4 with a double, two scored and one RBIed. Kelvin Meleán hit 5-2, home run, two scored and two RBIs.

For their part, Marineros de Carabobo beat Miranda's Leaders 18-17 at José Bernardo Pérez in Valencia. Edgardo Fermín went 5-3 with a home run, three runs scored, three RBIs and a ticket. Yoel Yanqui hit 4-3, home run, four scored, three RBIs and a ticket.

Meanwhile, Guerreros de Lara shut out Samanes de Aragua 11-0 at José Pérez Colmenares in Maracay. Diego Rincones hit 4-2 with a home run, one scored and two RBIs. Geraldo Quintero drove three from 4-2 with a double and scored.
