The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) blamed the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, for delays in the recovery and delivery of the bodies of Israeli citizens who died in the Gaza Strip, victims of the occupation's own attacks.
HAMAS accused Netanyahu of continuing to manipulate the humanitarian situation for political purposes and to inflict collective punishment on civilians.
In that regard, he explained, the Zionist regime maintains a deliberate policy of collective punishment against the Palestinian population, exemplified by the prolonged closure of the Rafah border crossing.
He also reported that the return has been hampered by the magnitude of the destruction caused by Israeli bombings, which have left numerous bodies buried under rubble or in collapsed tunnels.
HAMAS stressed that the lack of resources for rescue efforts responds directly to restrictions imposed by the Netanyahu government, which continues to block the entry of humanitarian aid and basic materials to Gaza.
