This Wednesday, the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement, HAMAS, reported that “the lists of prisoners who will be released” have been transferred in the context of the peace negotiations that are taking place in Egypt, while stating that there is an “optimistic mood” about the talks.

HAMAS said in a statement that its delegation is demonstrating “the positivity and responsibility necessary to achieve the necessary progress and complete the agreement” this week, Telesur said.

According to the statement, mediators, both Qatari and Egyptian, “are making great efforts to eliminate any obstacles to the implementation of the ceasefire, and a spirit of optimism prevails among all.”

Fawzi Barhoum, one of the spokespersons of the Palestinian movement, reiterated that an agreement will only be possible if the war ends definitively and if Israel withdraws from Gaza
