HAMAS reaffirmed that Gaza's internal security will be managed by Palestinians

The Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) confirmed that the administration and internal control of the Gaza Strip will remain exclusively in the hands of the Palestinians, without the intervention of foreign forces in security activities.

The leader of the movement, Hossam Badran, stressed that any international mission will have functions limited to verifying the ceasefire at border points with Israel. He has also indicated that the different Palestinian factions maintain a common position: the external presence can only act in supervisory tasks at the border.

Badran added that the management of Gaza will be autonomous, with the support of a technical committee that will oversee decisions to maintain stability and internal order.

Regarding a possible international force, the spokesman stressed that only countries that have a favorable relationship with the Palestinian people will be able to participate, excluding those that supported the Israeli offensive during the recent war in Gaza.
