Within the framework of Operation Bolivarian Shield of Independence 200, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) carried out a forceful coup against transnational mafias, after destroying eight aircraft and dismantling four logistics camps belonging to groups associated with drug trafficking in the state of Amazonas.

The information was released by Domingo Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander (CEO), through his social networks.

Hernández Lárez explained that the procedure was carried out in the Alto Orinoco municipality, a border area with the Federative Republic of Brazil.

“The operation responds to the direct instructions of the Constitutional President and Commander in Chief of the FANB, Nicolás Maduro, in a frontal offensive against trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substances in the four cardinal points of the nation,” he said.

In addition, the head of the CEOFANB indicated that the aircraft were operating on illegal clandestine runways, flagrantly violating the Control Act for the Integral Defense of Airspace, as well as the National Security and Defense Act, since they did not have authorized flight plans, visible identification and transponder systems to travel through national airspace.

With this new achievement, Venezuela has registered a total of 39 unused aircraft so far in 2025 and 430 since 2012, consolidating an insurmountable barrier against organized crime.

Venezuela is a zone of peace, of law and of justice. We are not, nor will we be, a platform for transnational crime. In our country, it is not produced, it is not processed, it is not consumed and we will not allow our soil to be used as a transit for illegal products that harm humanity,” emphasized Hernández Lárez.

The commander of the CEOFANB reiterated that the FANB maintains a permanent deployment throughout the territory to guarantee the integrity of the country's geographical space. The destruction of these camps on the border with Brazil reaffirms the Venezuelan State's determination to protect its resources and the security of its citizens against external threats.
